WNBA Same Game Parlay Odds & Picks: Thursday (6/27)

The WNBA has four games scheduled on Thursday, with the ever-unpopular mid-week afternoon game and three evening affairs. The Minnesota Lynx, fresh off a Commissioner’s Cup win, take on the Dallas Wings at 1 p.m. ET. However, we’ll leave that one off the list for potential picks.

The Connecticut Sun and Washington Mystics battle at 7 p.m. ET and that game can be viewed on NBA TV. Also, at 7 p.m., the Las Vegas Aces and Chicago Sky tangle at Wintrust Arena and that game can be streamed on Amazon Prime Video. And, at 10 p.m. ET, the Indiana Fever and Seattle Storm battle at Climate Pledge Arena. That game can also be streamed on Prime Video.

Below are two WNBA Same Game Parlays for tonight’s matchups. Let’s get started.

Las Vegas Aces at Chicago Sky

  • Leg 1: Chicago Sky +10.5 (-112)
  • Leg 2: Over 171.5 Total Points (-112)
  • Leg 3: Angel Reese To Record 10+ Rebounds (-265)
  • Leg 4: Jackie Young Over 17.5 Points (-275)

The Aces (8-6) and the Sky (6-9) meet at Wintrust Arena in Chicago. Las Vegas looks to have its swagger back after a rough patch. The Aces have won and covered two straight games for the first time since May 25-29, nearly a full calendar month.

As a double-digit favorite, the Aces are just 1-4 against the spread (ATS) in five tries this season, while also going 1-3 ATS in four road games as a favorite of six or more points.

On the flip side, the Sky have won consecutive games for the first time since May 18-23, which coincides with its outright win as a double-digit underdog in New York on May 23. The Sky won 90-81 as a 16.5-point underdog as the over (168.5) cashed against the Liberty. In the past four games as a double-digit favorite, the Aces have cashed the over each time. As such, take the Sky and go high on the total while feeling confident doing so.

As far as the player props are concerned, rookie Angel Reese enters on absolute fire. She set a WNBA rookie record with 18 rebounds against the Dallas Wings last Thursday afternoon. She followed that up with 16 boards in a showdown with Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever this past Sunday. One of the surest player prop bets in all of the WNBA has been to go over 10 boards with the Bayou Barbie. She also dropped 25 points with the 16 boards last time and hit an efficient 8-of-12 from the field.

Reese has recorded eight straight double-doubles while averaging 14.7 points per game (PPG) and 13.1 rebounds per game (RPG) in nine June starts. She has also managed 2.0 steals per game (SPG), including two or more steals in five of the past seven outings.

For the Aces, we’ll look to Jackie Young to go over her target points. A’ja Wilson is just set too high at over 26.5 points, so we’ll focus on Young. She has been up and down lately and is a high-risk, high-reward play. She exploded for 34 points in a Commissioner’s Cup game in Phoenix on June 13, before tumbling to just 10 points on 4-of-12 shooting on June 15 against New York. She erupted for 32 points against Seattle on June 19 but tumbled to just eight points on 3-of-8 shooting Friday against Connecticut. She’s due for another strong game. The defensively-challenged Sky should allow for her to get to at least 18 points.

For the opportunity to multiply up by more than four times, this same-game parlay (SGP) is worth a long look.

Indiana Fever at Seattle Storm

  • Leg 1: Indiana Fever +8.5 (-106)
  • Leg 2: Over 167.5 Total Points (-112)
  • Leg 3: Caitlin Clark Over 17.5 Points (-106)
  • Leg 4: Caitlin Clark Over 6.5 Assists (-114)

We’ll keep it simple in the late game. Caitlin Clark has brought so many more eyeballs to the WNBA. A lot of casual fans pay attention only because of her. That’s why we’ll focus on her and the Fever (7-11) in Thursday’s third installment of this season series with the Storm (10-6).

Seattle picked up an 85-83 win as a 5-point underdog on May 22 at Climate Pledge Arena as the over (167) cashed. The rookie Clark went for 21 points with seven rebounds, seven assists and two blocked shots with two three-pointers in the first battle in the Pacific Northwest.

The Fever was pounded 103-88 at home by the Storm on May 30 as a 5.5-point favorite as the over (167.5) connected. Clark posted 20 points with nine dimes and a blocked shot while dropping in three three-pointers. She shot just 6-of-17 from the field while turning it over seven times. But we’re simply going over on the point total for the rookie. She is a good bet in the assists department, too.

Clark had 13 dimes last time out in Chicago, along with 17 points, six rebounds and four steals. She is good for seven or more assists in three of the past four contests.

The Fever enters on a 5-0 ATS run in the past five outings, while the over has cashed in eight straight and 11 of the past 12 contests. As such, you need to go with Indiana and the over. That’s a solid SGP in and of itself, but also be sure to play a parlay with the player props for Clark, too. Either way, it should be a rather lucrative night.
