Spain vs. Zambia: 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup Odds & Picks (Wednesday)

There were some genuinely shocking results as the 32 teams in the 2023 Women’s World Cup each saw their first action. New Zealand defeated Norway, England barely escaped with a victory over Haiti, and France failed to score a goal against Jamaica. Will we see any equally shocking results on Matchday Two? Here’s a look at Spain vs. Zambia.

Spain vs. Zambia

Spain and Zambia were part of the two most lopsided games of Matchday One. Spain outshot Costa Rica 46-1, and they had 12 shots on goal to Costa Rica’s zero. Spain possessed the ball for 80 percent of the game, and they had 22 corner kicks while their competition does not get any more difficult on Wednesday.

Zambia did not record a single shot against Japan, as they allowed 25 shots, 11 of which were on target, in their 5-0 loss. In the build-up to the World Cup, we saw Spain beat teams by ridiculous scores, such as 9-0 and 7-0. We could see a score like that on Monday.

Spain can score as much as they want in this game, it will just depend on how aggressive they are. While they may become less aggressive in the second half, it’s hard to imagine them backing off in the first 45.

Pick: Over 2.5 First Half Goals (+125)
