Seattle to crash San Francisco’s Thanksgiving party

In a titanic clash between two mortal enemies, expect the Seahawks to trample all over the 49ers Thanksgiving parade

The biggest rivalry in the modern NFL between two teams that met in the NFC Championship game last season has been a little diluted this season. Neither the San Francisco 49ers or the Seattle Seahawks have been particularly convincing so far but when these two face off on Thanksgiving night, expect a physical battle that’ll get everyone fired up.

The Seahawks have been improving lately, exemplified by their great win against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday and they will feel that they have the edge on the 49ers after beating them in that championship game last year. San Fran have been very unconvincing so far this season, squeezing out wins against inferior teams and that will be their downfall against the Seahawks. Expect them to gain a head of steam and win at Evens, it’s well worth your money.

In the early game, the Detroit Lions continue tradition by hosting a Thanksgiving game and this year it’ll be NFC North rivals the Chicago Bears that come to visit. The Lions have been much improved this season and despite losing their past two games in an ugly fashion, they were against the two best teams from each conference, the Arizona Cardinals and the New England Patriots.

The Bears have been below par all season; many felt they could be contenders with a high-powered offence but they have never got it going and look like they’ll miss out. This should be one the Lions win at home. With playmakers like Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate combined with a strong defence, take them to win at the -7 handicap at Evens against a soft Chicago team.

Then the one stuck in the middle will be the other team that always plays at home on the last Thursday in November, the Dallas Cowboys, taking on the Philadelphia Eagles for supremacy in the NFC East. These two know a loss will be a big blow; it’s a close race for the wildcard places so winning the division is that more important and victory will give the winners a real advantage.

The Eagles are a team that like to get off to a hot start with their fast-paced offence whilst the Cowboys have pulled off some good comebacks, so go for the Boys to beat a -3 handicap at 87/100. The Eagles may take an early lead, but the Cowboys will get it done by the final whistle.
