Emanuel Reynoso is the subject of an MLS review after a video emerged online, appearing to show the Minnesota United star posing with a bag of cash alongside an individual with a firearm.
The video, made public by Argentina news outlet El Doce, was reportedly taken in Reynoso’s hometown of Cordoba in Argentina. The 28-year-old has been absent from Minnesota for two months, failing to return after making a trip to Argentina in late-March.

The troubling video is the latest disciplinary issue surrounding Reynoso. The Athletic quotes an anonymous Cordoba resident who said that locals have become frustrated with Reynoso’s behaviour in the Almirante Brown neighbourhood.
“We’re tired of [Reynoso] and his friends who get together on a neighbourhood corner,” the source says. “They make a mess every time they come to the neighbourhood.”
Minnesota look to cut ties with Emanuel ‘ReyNo-Show’
Reynoso moved to Minnesota United in 2020, arriving from Argentinian giants Boca Juniors. He has impressed on the field during his time in MLS, notably becoming the first player in league history to record three assists in multiple playoff games.
However his behaviour has become an issue in recent years. In 2023 he failed to show up for preseason training with Minnesota, missing the first ten games of the season. That absence earned him the nickname Emanuel ‘ReyNo-Show’. His latest AWOL incident looks certain to be his last and the club are eager to move him on, with Mexican side Club Tijuana reportedly an option.
