After winning Leagues Cup in his first final with Inter Miami, Lionel Messi became the player with the most professional titles in football history. The Argentine star overtook ex-teammate Dani Alves to become the most decorated player ever.

Now, at 36-years-old, the player has another opportunity to add another trophy to his already historic tally, as he is in yet another final: US Open Cup 2023, which will take place on 27 September 2023 at 8.30 p.m. ET/5.30 p.m. PT, against Ben Olsen’s Houston Dynamo.

Tata Martino has been keeping Leo on ice over recent days, as the forward has had to deal with, as his manager put it, “a scar tissue injury”.

While the latest team news on Messi, Busquets and Alba is not entirely clear, what is certain is that the arrival of the trio has given Inter Miami a new lease of life; the new additions have drastically changed the fortunes of the side as they continue their march to become one of the best teams in the country.
